Fırat Neziroğlu X Tilia Collaboration

Tilia celebrates its 60th anniversary with the collaboration of International Weaving Artist Fırat Neziroğlu. The design chair "Balance" specially created by artist Fırat Neziroğlu for Tilia's 60th anniversary was presented to design enthusiasts. Combining its accessible designs with the principle of democratic design and its emphasis on nature, humanity, and well-being in all areas, Tilia celebrates its 60th anniversary with the collaboration of artist Fırat Neziroğlu, who shares the same values.

Sixty years ago, Tilia set out with the vision of producing well-designed, unique, quality, and accessible products that accurately understand needs, and combined its ability to respond to real needs in the flow of life with the talent of International Weaving Artist Fırat Neziroğlu. The special design chair named "BALANCE" designed by the artist for Tilia's 60th anniversary reflects the balance of life, the universe, and the future with its motifs. The special chair, designed with special fabrics and motifs chosen by the artist representing the three states of the day; morning, noon, and evening, also has an ergonomic structure that massages the body when experienced.

Besides the elegance in its design, another feature of the chair where functionality is also at the forefront is the "Personal Space" under the lower section where you can place your daily needs and work tools, and a specially produced Mouse-wristband for computer use, especially for employees. Balance, connecting the past to the future; brings together Da Vinci's balance, Matisse's colors, and Dali's futuristic approach in Fırat Neziroğlu's design. Fırat Neziroğlu

He hadn't realized it yet, but the sea had touched him when he was very young. First, he went to schools, danced, and wove a lot! Then he started by unraveling himself, aiming to know himself and the world; by dancing, weaving, and touching!

He was born in Izmir in 1981. He completed his undergraduate education in the Weaving Program of the Textile Design Department at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts, which he started in 1997. In 2002, he began his master's education at the same faculty. In 2003, he started working as a Research Assistant at Çukurova University Faculty of Fine Arts. He returned to Izmir to complete his master's and doctoral programs at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts. He worked on print, dye, ready-to-wear, fashion clothing, shoes, jewelry, hats in the field of Textile Design; bicycle, pedal in the field of Industrial Design; business card, invitation, and packaging designs in the field of Graphic Design.
